...1965

US President Lyndon B. Johnson launched a series of domestic programs in 1965 designed to eliminate poverty, address social injustice, improve education, health care, and address the serious urban problems that were plaguing the United States.  The program was a continuation of the work John F. Kennedy started earlier that decade. Unfortunately the program fell short. 50 years later, funding ever expanding, these societal issues not only persist but are eroding the very fabric of our society.   We are here to foster the principles and values that were the foundation of the "Great Society"; the humanity, the integrity, the understanding.
